Bri Bruce, Founding Editor-in-Chief
Bri Bruce (who writers under the pseudonym B. L. Bruce) is an award-winning poet and two-time Pushcart Prize nominee once deemed the “heiress of Mary Oliver.” With a bachelor’s degree in literature and creative writing from the University of California at Santa Cruz, her work has appeared in dozens of anthologies and literary publications. A recipient of the Ina Coolbrith Memorial Poetry Prize, the PushPen Press Pendant Prize for Poetry, and the first prize winner of the 2023 Los Gatos Poetry Contest, she is the author of five books: The Weight of Snow, 28 Days of Solitude, The Starling’s Song, Measures, and Blue California Sky. In addition to writing, Bruce works in the renewable energy industry as a marketing executive and is a photographer, graphic designer, and amateur filmmaker.
