2024 Humana Obscura Anthology

Theme: “Blue”

Humana Obscura is now accepting submissions of poetry and art for its new anthology!

Submissions will be accepted until the end of December 2024. Our first anthology will be published in January 2025, featuring work received in 2024.

Our first anthology will focus on a theme of “blue,” and however you interpret it—as the sky, the ocean, the shade of a particular flower, or an emotion.

Payment. At this time, we are not able to offer payment to our contributors for published works; however, we frequently and vigorously promote our writers/artists and their work (both within Humana Obscura as well as outside our magazine), so be sure to subscribe to our magazine and connect with us on Twitter (@humanaobscura), Instagram (@humanaobscura), and Facebook.

In keeping with the anthology's theme, a percentage of submission fees will be donated to Ocean Conservancy. Ocean Conservancy is a nonprofit environmental advocacy group based in Washington, D.C., United States. The organization seeks to promote healthy and diverse ocean ecosystems, prevent marine pollution, climate change and advocates against practices that threaten oceanic and human life.
